Visraant comes to Oakland having led operations for a national civic engagement and behavioral science research firm. In addition, he has run a business as a co-founder and former CEO of a venture-backed fintech company, been a Senior Consultant at Deloitte for the federal government, worked for multiple Senators on Capitol Hill as well as multiple Presidential campaigns, and executive produced a docuseries available on streaming platforms around the world.

Visraant graduated from Harvard Kennedy School with a Masters in Public Policy (concentrating on urban and housing policy) and was a Goss Fellow at MIT. He also holds Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and International Studies from Northwestern University and is a current MBA Candidate at UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. In his spare time, Visraant enjoys reading, traveling, watching movies, and exploring Oakland and the Bay.
