Tenindje Cisse is a Social Media Manager in the Office of Mayor Barbara Lee, focused on building authentic connections between the Mayor's office and the Oakland community through digital storytelling and strategic content. In this role, she manages the Mayor's social media presence across platforms, developing campaigns that reflect Oakland's energy and amplify the city's progress on public safety, housing, small business, and beyond. Since joining the office, she has grown the Mayor's Instagram following from under 9,000 to over 15,500 with a meaningful increase in engagement, making the account one of the more dynamic municipal voices in the region.

A native Oaklander, Tenindje brings both personal and professional roots to this work. She holds a B.A. in Sociology from UC Davis and previously served at Safe Passages, a local nonprofit dedicated to K-12 education. Her background in community-centered work informs her approach to social media: meeting residents where they are and making city government feel accessible, real, and worth paying attention to.
