Mary Olsen serves as the Mayor's Constituent Liaison helping citizens navigate City government. She embraced California after growing up in the Adirondacks of Northern New York and graduating from Antioch College in Ohio.

After a long stint in suburbia, she returned to her first love, Oakland, and had the good fortune to find a job in the Mayor's Office. She loves helping people solve their problems - or at least pointing them in the right direction. She also loves Oakland's diversity, climate, public transportation, restaurants and parks and will never go back to suburbia.

Mary loves kids and dogs and baking chocolate chip cookies.
