Mayor Barbara Lee, City of Oakland To Take Action to Protect Immigrant Communities

Amid the federal administration's dangerous escalation in immigration enforcement actions targeting communities across the nation, Mayor Barbara Lee and the City of Oakland will take decisive action to defend the city's immigrant residents and reinforce Oakland's commitment as a sanctuary city. Mayor Lee will be joined by federal, state, and local elected officials, community leaders, labor representatives, and Oakland's Police Chief to announce concrete steps to protect all residents and uphold the city's longstanding values.
